Replay Super Bowl Spot for Budweiser

  • Clydesdales as Budweiser’s austere branded fluent device

  • A celebration of American football

  • Allowing the Clydesdales to be involved directly with the game of football, plus introducing a new animal character and the topic very much on fans’ minds

  • I developed this Super Bowl XXXVII commercial while at Hill Holliday, Boston back in 2003. This spot brought the football game back for the Clydesdales after years of only using them in traditional brand roles. The spot was directed by Zack Snyder. Believe Media was the production company.

    Replays were introduced that season in the NFL. This spot actually aired right after a replay. Perfect.
