Jellyfish x Jewels

Having grown up on the north shore of Massachusetts, jellyfish were a part of the environment and our life by the ocean. I regarded them with equal parts anxiety and curiosity. And as an adult I’ve had opportunities to travel to play in waters where unfortunately the jellyfish get more exotic and dangerous.

Well, these unique forms of marine life including Portuguese Man of War, Lion’s Mane, and other species of jellies have captured my imagination for years. That fascination led to these AI experiments to create new forms of jellyfish decorated and encrusted with jewels to give them an even more surreal and captivating appearance. Here’s my first motion studies of these fictional bejeweled creatures.
